Heavenly StemYin Metal

This day’s heavenly stem is 辛 – Yin Metal. The ten stems represent yin and yang pairs of the five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.

The day is 辛亥 in the sixty-part stem–branch cycle. Its first character is the stem; this alone does not make a day favourable or unfavourable.

Earthly BranchPig

This day’s earthly branch is 亥 – Pig. Each of the twelve branches has an animal; the cycle marks days as well as birth years.

The second character of 辛亥 gives the day’s animal. It comes from the calendar cycle, not the visitor’s birth details.

Traditional day qualityDanger Day

危 – Danger Day. The traditional name means: danger, caution.

The twelve day officers follow the relationship between the day branch and the solar-month branch. Here the day is Pig and the month is Dragon; their relationship produces this officer.

This is a general traditional quality. Read the Suggested and Avoid lists for individual activities; the name does not promise success.

Clashing zodiac signSnake

This day’s opposing pair is Pig ↔ Snake (亥–巳). They stand six places apart on the circle of twelve branches.

The almanac calls this opposition “chong”, or clash. Traditional date selection associates it with change and tension, and calls for extra consideration for the affected sign.

It does not mean that someone of this sign will certainly have a bad day. This is the day’s general pairing; a personal interpretation would also require the complete birth chart.

Frequently asked questions

What do the days mean?+

The twelve day officers describe the relationship between the day branch and the solar month. A general day category does not apply equally to every activity: read the 宜 and 忌 lists separately.

Where does the data come from?+

Calculations use the open-source lunar-javascript 1.7.7 library. Daily 宜 (suitable) and 忌 (avoid) lists come from this data source, not AI-generated predictions. Almanac editions may differ.

Which time zone is used?+

Today follows your device’s local date. The home page starts with today whenever you open it. A selected date represents a traditional Chinese calendar day with a midnight boundary, not a personal BaZi reading.
