Friday
Heavenly StemYang Metal
This day’s heavenly stem is 庚 – Yang Metal. The ten stems represent yin and yang pairs of the five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
The day is 庚子 in the sixty-part stem–branch cycle. Its first character is the stem; this alone does not make a day favourable or unfavourable.
Earthly BranchRat
This day’s earthly branch is 子 – Rat. Each of the twelve branches has an animal; the cycle marks days as well as birth years.
The second character of 庚子 gives the day’s animal. It comes from the calendar cycle, not the visitor’s birth details.
Traditional day qualityDanger Day
危 – Danger Day. The traditional name means: danger, caution.
The twelve day officers follow the relationship between the day branch and the solar-month branch. Here the day is Rat and the month is Snake; their relationship produces this officer.
This is a general traditional quality. Read the Suggested and Avoid lists for individual activities; the name does not promise success.
