Thursday
Heavenly StemYin Metal
This day’s heavenly stem is 辛 – Yin Metal. The ten stems represent yin and yang pairs of the five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
The day is 辛丑 in the sixty-part stem–branch cycle. Its first character is the stem; this alone does not make a day favourable or unfavourable.
Earthly BranchOx
This day’s earthly branch is 丑 – Ox. Each of the twelve branches has an animal; the cycle marks days as well as birth years.
The second character of 辛丑 gives the day’s animal. It comes from the calendar cycle, not the visitor’s birth details.
Traditional day qualityDestruction Day
破 – Destruction Day. The traditional name means: breaking, dismantling.
The twelve day officers follow the relationship between the day branch and the solar-month branch. Here the day is Ox and the month is Goat; their relationship produces this officer.
This is a general traditional quality. Read the Suggested and Avoid lists for individual activities; the name does not promise success.
