通 TONGSHUFind auspicious days

About and methodology

Tongshu Calendar is a multilingual interface to the Chinese almanac tradition. It explains labels and helps compare dates. Content is published under the name Tongshu Calendar; this is not an expert credential or a personal consultation. Sources, selection rules and verification limits are disclosed.

How do we select dates?

Daily data comes from lunar-javascript 1.7.7. The finder looks for the exact Chinese activity term in 宜 and excludes dates where the same term occurs in 忌 or a general prohibition appears. Results are chronological, without scores or personal adjustments. The detailed chart uses Joseph Yu’s published method for the daily flying star. Different almanac editions can disagree.

For the 2026-09-29 05:57 reference, the four pillars, Na Yin, lunar date, day officer, mansion and four star numbers agree. This does not establish agreement on every date. Dong Gong, KP index, Qi Men and Xuan Kong Da Gua have no verified implementation here yet.

Time zones

Today uses your device’s local date. The almanac date represents a Chinese calendar day. The live clock calculates in UTC+8 and displays local time, so it may already refer to the next Chinese day.

Saved dates stay on this device; no account required.

Save up to 100 dates; your saved dates remain available across languages.
