Choose a specific activity and period first. Moving (移徙) and entering a home (入宅) are different entries; the moving search uses the former. Open a result to read the full recommendations and clashing sign. A favourable general day rating does not make every activity suitable. If no dates match, widen the range; the finder does not invent results to fill the list.
Is a green day suitable for everything?
No. Green summarises a traditional general day quality. Your specific activity may still appear in the avoid list. Start with your purpose, such as travel, a wedding or moving, and then open the full daily card to check the recommendations.
How does the finder select results?
It requires the exact Chinese activity term in the suggested list, excludes dates where that term also appears in the avoid list, and rejects a general prohibition. Results are chronological. They are not personalised to your birth chart or ranked by popularity.
Are moving and entering a home the same activity?
Moving, 移徙, and entering a home, 入宅, are different source entries. A date returned for moving does not automatically have the same recommendation for entering the new home. Choose the activity that actually describes the event you want to plan.
Is there an example I can check?
For 21 February 2004, this calendar’s wedding search returns a match while its moving search does not. The same date answers different planning questions differently. Open the example below to inspect the entire card and optionally display the original Chinese terms.
What if no dates match?
Change or widen the period. A search covers up to 366 days within 1930–2030. An empty list is a valid result. Save a suitable date and also check venue availability, the people involved and the timezone; the almanac does not assess those practical constraints.

How do we select dates?
Daily data comes from lunar-javascript 1.7.7. The finder looks for the exact Chinese activity term in 宜 and excludes dates where the same term occurs in 忌 or a general prohibition appears. Results are chronological, without scores or personal adjustments. The detailed chart uses Joseph Yu’s published method for the daily flying star. Different almanac editions can disagree.
This almanac is a cultural and reflective guide, not a scientifically validated prediction. Do not base medical, financial or legal decisions on it.
